How has theatre impacted your life?
I’ve done theatre my whole life but got really invested in it around middle school when I started doing community theatre shows. My family is very artistic, so we would always go see shows and plays at other schools, and I always loved watching them in addition to being in them. That passion only grew as I got to high school and had a realization that I could do this as a career and enjoy it for my whole life. Then, I went headfirst into everything theatre related. I took voice lessons, dance classes, and auditioned for every show I could. It is more than a hobby at this point; it is my world.

What is one lesson you’ve learned from theatre?
My biggest takeaway from doing theatre is the ability to work with others. Collaboration is necessary for the environment, so I’ve learned to adapt to any situation and work out a compromise in any circumstance, which I can apply to any area of my life — not just theatre.

What has been your favorite theatre experience so far?
My favorite experience was being on the State Executive Board and helping to run the 2020 Tennessee State Thespian Conference. I made wonderful friends, and it was such a great experience to impact so many people who all love the same thing I do.

Who is your theatre hero?
My theatre heroes are probably my current high school theatre teachers, who have influenced my life in such positive ways and taught me so much about theatre and life in general. They helped me grow from the bottom up, and for that I am so grateful.

What theatrical character or show best describes your life?
The character that describes me most is probably Elle from Legally Blonde. Despite her comedic relief, Elle wants to conquer everything she puts her hands on. She has such a strong determination and does everything from a place of love for others.
