How has theatre impacted your life?
Theatre has not only been a creative outlet for me but also a community in which I’ve met some of the most amazing people in my life. Theatre has given me a space to be myself and meet people who have a wonderful and beautiful passion for the arts.

What is one lesson you’ve learned from theatre?
Theatre has taught me to be vulnerable. Through experiencing and performing theatre, I have gained a greater sense of self and learned how to put myself out there. To put yourself in someone else’s shoes also gives you so much empathy and understanding of the world around you.

What has been your favorite theatre experience so far?
My favorite theatre experience I’ve had is going to our state Thespian conference. There’s something about a convention center full of 5,000 Thespians that makes my heart full. Seeing everyone so joyful and excited to learn is wonderful. It has been the greatest learning experience for me, and I’m so grateful to have gone for a few years.

Who is your theatre hero?
My theatre hero has to be Jeremy Jordan. He’s a wonderful actor with a beautiful voice (and face). He’s a total heartthrob.

What theatrical character or show best describes your life?
Katherine Plumber from Newsies is such an inspiring character. She is a strong woman who does whatever she can to pursue her passions. I am a very passionate person and make it a point to set goals for myself. I’m a hard worker and enjoy doing meaningful work.
