How has theatre impacted your life?
Theatre has been a big part of my life since I was little. It has given me so many opportunities to meet new friends and work on projects I am truly passionate about.

What is one lesson you’ve learned from theatre?
One lesson I have learned from theatre is that art is subjective. As long as you are proud of the performance you have done and of all your hard work, it won’t matter what anyone else says. This is something I try to remember in my everyday life too.

What has been your favorite theatre experience so far?
My favorite theatre experience would have to be our Thespian state conference my freshman year. It was my first high school theatre experience, and it was so amazing seeing everyone love theatre as much as I do. I also loved meeting new people from across the state and hearing all about the projects they were working on.

Who is your theatre hero?
My theatre hero is definitely my drama teacher, Mrs. Gael Natal. She is so supportive with everything we do and always wants the best for us. She is always there to pick us up when we are down and puts 180% into every show we produce. I am so grateful for her and all she has taught me, and I hope to be as cool as she is when I grow up.

What theatrical character or show best describes your life?
I don’t really know if any show describes my life, but a show I love is Newsies. It has a great message to always chase your dreams, fight for what you believe in, and know that, as long as you have supportive people by your side, you can do anything.
