Tammy Honesty joined the School of Theatre and Dance at Kent State University in 2016 after serving as head of design at Western Illinois University. Her designs have been seen on stages from Off-Off-Broadway to Dayton’s Human Race Theatre Company. She is an active member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) and serves as programming coordinator for its annual conference. With Karestin Harrison, she is the author of The Fake Food Cookbook: Props You Can’t Eat for Theatre, Film, and TV. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre from Wilmington College and an M.F.A. in scenic design from West Virginia University.
